Korea-Arab Society(KAS)
The Korea-Arab Society(KAS) was established in 2008 to enhance mutual understanding between
Korea
and the 22 Arab countries which are members of the Arab League. Its vision is to become an effective
communication channel between Korea and Arab countries.
The KAS is actively seeking ways to increase opportunities for cultural exchanges between the two regions
by organizing events such as 'Korea-Arab Friendship Caravan' and 'Arab Cultural Festival'. ) Also, the KAS
supports people-to-people exchange of students and business people and works on projects that enable
both Koreans and Arabs to gain a better understanding in a whole spectrum of fields including politics,
economy, arts, and science.
Jeju Peace Institute(JPI)
The Jeju Peace Institute(JPI) is a non-profit research institution, established in March
2006, funded by the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, and the Jeju Special Self-Governing
Province.
JPI's mission is to promote peace and facilitate cooperation on the Korean Peninsula and across East Asia
through creative research. development programs, and a board range of exchange activities. JPI's ultimate
vision is to contribute to peace and common prosperity in East Asia. JPI's research and academic
publications are aligned with our mission.
JPI works as secretariat of the Jeju Forum for Peace and Prosperity. an international event bringing
together prominent global leaders, scholars, and experts. JPI holds domestic and international conference
throughout the year.
The Diplomatic Institute,
Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qatar
The Diplomatic Institute (DI) aims to achieve distinction regionally and internationally
while preparing the human resources of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the State of Qatar, to make them
capable of representing the state in a decent and appropriate manner in the international forums, perform
their tasks competently, and protect the interests of the state, in line with the current developments in
the field of diplomacy and in accordance with the successive international changes.
The DI seeks to develop the human resources of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, upgrade their scientific and
practical knowledge, and provide them with exceptional capabilities in performing the Qatari diplomatic
role, based on training and educational programs that use state-of-the-art scientific and technical means
and internationally adopted curricula. It also works to prepare special reports, studies and research papers
dealing with foreign policy and international cooperation to facilitate the process of decision making in
foreign affairs.
Middle East Council on Global Affairs
The Middle East Council on Global Affairs is an independent, non-profit policy research
institution based in Doha, Qatar. The Council conducts policy-relevant research, convene meetings and
dialogues, and engage policy actors on geopolitical and socio-economic issues facing the Middle East and
North Africa (MENA) region.
The Council strives to serve as a bridge between the MENA region and the rest of the world by providing a
regional perspective on global policy issues and establishing partnerships with other leading research
centers and development organizations across the MENA region and the world. The Council’s research and
activities aim to address and inform regional and international policy discussions, and engaging
governments, diplomats, businesses, civil society, the media, and academia in three key areas: Foreign
Policy and Security, Governance and Development, and Conflict and Transitions.
Ibn Khaldon Center for Humanities
and Social Sciences, Qatar
University, Qatar
Ibn Khaldon Center for Humanities and Social Sciences is a Research Center established in May
2018 by Qatar University. Its vision is to play a pioneering role in the Arab and Islamic world by
re-examining the theoretical orientations of the Social Sciences and the Humanities, with a view to becoming
the sought after platform and intellectual space for researchers and scientific initiatives in the region
and beyond.
The Center’s research agenda spans a range of substantive areas of importance, including the Social
Sciences, the Humanities, Area Studies, and Security and Strategic Studies. Its core mission and mandate is
to bridge the gap between the theoretical studies and actual needs of Muslim-Arab societies in collaboration
with leading institutions and researchers (locally, regionally and internationally) who share the Center’s
intellectual concerns.
